Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1. About the Organization:

   The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Rayagada is a Judicial Agency Which is managed by FS and CW Department.

2. Aim and Objective of the Organization:

   The Aim and Objective of this Forum is to provide protection of consumer rights and duties and provides relief to the consumers as per C.P.Act.

3. Objective/ Purpose of the Public Authority:

   The Consumer Protection Act 1986 is the special socio benevolent in excessive speed remedy made available to harassed & humiliates the consumers against ion scrupulous & monopolized merchandised & aggressive service providers. To provide speedy redressal to consumers and creating Awareness among the public at large. The consumer Complaint Cases/ Execution Cases (Arising out of C.C. Cases) filed before this District Forum are disposed of as quick as possible. On the Summary trail basis.

4. Mission/ Vision Statement of the Public Authority:

a) To Ensure Protection of consumers.
b) To Aware the consumers about its rights and remedies.

5. Brief History of the Public Authority:

   The C.P. Act came into force on 24th day of Dec. 1986. The District Forum, Rayagada has been established during the Year 1994.

6. Duties of the Public Authority:

 

a) To Ensure Protection of consumers.
b) To Aware the consumers about its rights and remedies.

7. Main Activities/ Public Authority:

 

a) To Ensure Protection of consumers.
b) To Aware the consumers about its rights and remedies.

   Adjudication of Consumer Complaints and Execution Cases for enforcement of the order passed in complaint cases.
