Under 5T purview all the Govt. offices are included for RTI


Baleswar/17.12.2019: District level RTI workshop has conducted for Public Information Officer (PIOs), Assistant Public Information Officers (APIOs), First Appellate Authority (FAAs) Journalist and citizen. 81 no participant were present in the workshop. District Information and public Relation Officer Sri Subash Nial welcomed to the entire participant and briefed the keynotes of workshop.

In the Workshop Sri K. Sudarshan Chakraborty, IAS Collector and district Magistrate, Baleswar lightened the candle and underlined that “under 5T purview all the Govt. offices are included for RTI” as a result all the Public Authorities are entitle to dissemination of proactive disclosure in RTI portal(www.rtiodisha.gov.in). He instructed to the entire participant to participate exclusively and gain knowledge regarding implementation of RTI act and Right to Central Monitoring Mechanism (RTI CMM). As an honorable guest Sambit Kumar Nayak, Additional District Magistrate, Baleswar briefed regarding conversion of proactive disclosure into odia language and upload the same in the portal. He also requested to all the offices to execute the above work before New Year, 2020.

Among others Nilu Mohapatra, Sub-Collector, Baleswar spoke Right to information is not a big thing but to maintain in a periodical manner is big. In the workshop Sri Banergee Prasad Chhotray , CDMO, Baleswar encouraged to PIOs, APIOs and FAAs for more disclosure.

As a resource person Content Service provider to state RTI portal Sri Horsha Parichha explained the basis and evolution of RTI. After this Mr. Parichha presented RTI central Monitoring Mechanism (RTI CMM) with power point presentation. He also stressed on regular updating of proactive disclosures and e-filing. In the question answer session maximum participant put question regarding exact time limit of comply of RTI application, exempted category, Voluminous Information etc. and suggested to sanction of contingency for RTI cell to meet deficit budget. At the last DI&PRO concluded the programme with vote of thanks.
